Gli occhi sporgenti, le sopracciglia spezzate e il profilo irregolare interrompono la continuità della forma, mentre i baffi neri e le labbra smaltate concentrano lo sguardo sulla parte centrale.

The vase builds its character through a broad, theatrical face modelled directly in terracotta. Protruding eyes, broken brows, and the irregular rim interrupt the continuity of the form, while the black moustache and glazed lips draw the eye towards the centre.

La superficie conserva tracce del gesto e piccole variazioni che rendono l’espressione viva e non replicabile in modo identico. Più che decorare il vaso, gli elementi figurativi ne trasformano il volume in una presenza autonoma, ironica e scultorea.
