Struttura e colore
In the work of Claudia Cucchi, founder of Cacu Lab, jewellery is developed through open forms and essential structures. Metal defines lines and volumes without necessarily enclosing them in closed compositions, allowing empty space to play a role in the configuration of each piece.
Colour becomes an element of the composition, introducing visual contrasts within the metal structure. Its presence changes the perception of form and helps distinguish the different parts of the piece.
Another characteristic of Cacu Lab’s work is its attention to the treatment of metal. Surfaces retain the visual qualities of the making process, contributing to the identity of each piece without requiring a uniformly finished appearance.
The combination of open structures, worked surfaces and chromatic elements defines a recognisable approach in which colour and metal both contribute to the construction of form.
